Day 1 at NEPS did not disappoint

The most important girls high school winter event in the country has begun and Day 1 is in the books. Thirty-two of the 34 teams took the field today on a balmy upper 60 degree sunny day.

Representation from SIMA FAB 50-ranked Florida, California and Texas programs put on a show in front of numerous college coaches who converged on 4 venues across the Fort Worth and Southlake area trying to spot that difference maker and difference makers are what we had today.

Of the 16 matches played there were 47 goals scored, 11 shutouts, 3 one-goal games, and 3 draws.  Each team played 1 match today and will double up tomorrow and then play their final match of the 3 day event on Saturday.

Matches were being broadcast live through Periscope @nepShowcase throughout the day as the youtube feed was down... we expect to get it back up tomorrow but just in case we will continue to be LIVE throughout the day with various angle shots of the majority of the matches.  For up to the second updates please FOLLOW US @nepShowcase on Twitter, Instagram, and Periscope.
